Our Mission

Generous Minds Society Foundation is dedicated to supporting orphaned and vulnerable children across Somalia by providing access to schools and Quranic madarasas. We strive to remove financial and social barriers to education, ensuring that no child is left behind due to their circumstances.

Through compassion, partnership, and community support, we nurture young minds to become knowledgeable, capable, and contributing members of society.

Our Story

We are a group of Somali youth who came together with a shared vision for change. As we shared stories and ideas, we learned about one of our brothers, known by the nickname "6 Million" - his real name is Hurreira.

He got that name because, as a child, he cared deeply about helping orphaned children go to school. Sadly, he later became an orphan himself after losing his father at a young age and needed the same support he once dreamed of giving to others.

Hurreira's story touched all of us, but the desire to make a difference was something we already shared. Supporting children in need, especially with their education, has always been a part of our collective ambition. Together, we decided to turn our shared vision into action - to help students in need, uplift our community, and build a future filled with hope, opportunity, and love.
